Hello. Some may remember my previous site at jasonrepko.org. We’ve moved to a .com. Jason Repko, the oft-injured Los Angeles Dodgers Boston Red Sox outfielder has decided not to renew his domain name, meaning that I could scoop it out from underneath him and use it for my own purposes as opposed to letting it languish as he chose to do. In terms of his playing career, it’s too bad he can’t stay healthy, as he is very talented. I, not Repko the outfielder, but the Jason Repko of the University of Washington iSchool and former employee of public radio stations WYEP, KDUR, KBUT and KXCI will carry on at jasonrepko.com.
What you will discover here are my weekly website posts regarding information retrieval, ontology and taxonomy, and transportation issues. Strange mix, indeed. I love to ride my bike, and you will see and read a lot about it and my adventures with it. We live in Seattle, Washington, and the opportunities and scenery for biking are many.
Alas, I couldn’t not simply move the old .ORG site to this .COM. It is gone. I will have to rebuild it. Just as well, as I want to distribute information differently this time around in both a professional section and an interests/bike section. It will take some time to get in the swing of things, and I hope you come back from time to time.
Jason
